FCUK logo to go?

An entry about French Connection UK's FCUK label and campaign attracted a surprising number of comments when I first posted a note elsewhere. Evidently the indignant people are winning the war.
Under the new campaign, to be launched next month, the FCUK logo will be replaced by a series of ironic, self-referential phrases such as "Don't make us say it", "Something beginning with F" and "Haven't you had enough influences for one day?"
How to invigorate a FCUK slogan
Original note with dozens of comments: FCUK YOU!

How funny! The first time I saw it on the adverts, I was wondering how on earth they got to show the swear word on t.v. like that, but then I double taked and realised what it really said. That was it- finished.

FCUK never developed a name here in the US. A pity we Americans are much better at getting upset about trival things.

just to wake some people up

If it’s true, prepare to die soon…
Also, feel free to look at all the other t-shirt and be really offended. I simply find all of them funny, if you can’t take things with a grain of salt, well, you can’t and that’s it.

I would like to say that all the people who have posted messages stating their ‘disgust’, should not have bothered, as they are not the ones purchasing French Connection products. FCUK is incredibly popular among the young people it is aimed at - something that makes you think and maybe even slightly shocks you, is a good marketing move and I say well done to whoever came up with it. If you don’t like the name, don’t buy the apparell. I personally have a wardrobe full of French Connection clothing and have not yet recieved any negative comments or glances.

ha! I think FCUK is distinct, creative, and crazy! That’s what their line is all about too! Love it. I also wanted to say something to the irish girl on the original comment section about Cool New University Tees or whatever it was… sorry kinda forgot, CNUT, how brilliant the minds are today.
