Miniskirts & micro-minis

I've always associated flip flops with rednecks but they are what the fahionable are to wear with their short-short skirts in Summer 2004.
Paired with this season's ultra-short mini skirt, preferably one with a few ruffles, and an off-the-shoulder top, the high-heeled flip flop offers a dressier option for women living and playing in beach towns recognized for their casual dress and laid back atmosphere, without sacrificing style.

Pregant women go for minis:
"When I started it was all about cover up and now it's all about showing," says Matthias. One of the current top sellers at Pea in the Pod stores is a 16-inch, stretch canvas mini-skirt in a black and white mod print.
Skirts that move, skirts that are ever smaller:
Flip skirts — fit snug to the hips, then released into a waved frill, a fringed hemline, or pleated section that does what it says as the wearer walks.
Micro mini skirt lengths — from tiny things no wider than a belt, to small things that lick a few more centimetres of thigh.
Less fabric, more profit:
Small is beautiful for troubled Marks & Spencer — this is its shortest mini-skirt at just 11in.
The high street chain, whose sales slumped again last month, is banking on the tiny outfit to lure teenage girls.
They launched the skirt last night as part of the Per Una Due collection, which features boob tubes, hot pants, fishnet tights and skimpy tops.
