While the death of the metrosexual has been announced in the US (supposedly defeated by the übersexual) in India the image of a heterosexual man who cares about grooming and spiffy clothes continues to fascinate. Hence a play exploring metrosexuality:
What dictates his preferences and choices — and why? And, more importantly, what does the woman in his life think as he indulges things which are considered feminine. In this search for the definition of metrosexual, there are questions about being bisexual. And what’s with this men and masculinity laced with feminity trip? Pathak’s Working Title troupe plans to stage this play at coffee houses and supper theatre venues not to cash in on the shock value but to get the real picture — right.
