Cynthis Nixon: lesbian?

Is Cynthia Nixon gay? Damn if I know. Be damned if I care. But it would be warmer news than her suburban exile at the end of Sex & the City.
Here was this smart, likeable woman who decided to move to a place she hated so she could raise the daughter she birthed while living with a man who often bored her. Disgustingly true to life?

One day, in a perfect world, folks won’t feel obligated to “come out” regarding their sexual preferences. Can’t people just be who they are without having to explain to the great unwashed. Silly me.

There never will be a perfect world.
And in his very imperfect one gay people need for successful gay men and women to come out and show that being gay doesn’t stop you from being happy and successful.
The great unwashed need a bath.

I kinda interpreted her decision to move to the ‘burbs as one she made for her kid, mainly. Can’t exactly be easy to raise a kid in Manhattan.
As for gay role models, there are plenty already. Where are the CHinese role models, I cry? ;) Oh, and a support group for us heterosexual men who keep falling for lesbians…

I’m not surprised that Cynthia Nixon is a lesbian. On one episode of Sex And The City she said to her three girlfriends: “I would go down on any one of you”. Then she got depressed because none of her three girlfriends said they would go down on HER!

I’m glad she came out. She’s a great role model. I don’t really think it’s a big deal. Being gay is just a naturally occuring varible. It’s not good or bad or even especially scandalous. It just is. And, the sooner the general American public understands that, the easier life will be.

It doesn’t surprise. Being gay is becoming the number trend in America. Everyone just about is gay now and I always question just how many people are really gay because they really like the same sex, or they are gay because they’ve been with just about everyone of the opposite sex.
I always thought Cynthia was a lesbian. It’s the way she carries herself and her sense of style. My gaydar is batting 1000 and hopefully will continue to. I like to know what’s going on so I can choose to be apart or dettach myself from surroundings.

no one cares if she is a clam digger. Get over it. God will make her answer one day!

What do you mean God will make her answer one day? People like you make me sick. Keep your offensive comments to yourself.

I think we’re all forgetting the most important part here. Miranda has a son not a daughter that she moves to the burbs for. Cynthia can do what she wants, but let’s all get the facts of the show correct for God’s sake!

I am so depressed that Ms. Nixons sex life is more in focus that the idiot in the White House.. Please folks why does it matter to you and not the Maniac who is in the worlds most powerful role? Danny..

Since I have never seen that show Sex And The City, don’t have a comment one way or another. I’m transgendered individual and known it when I was about 10 years old. I liked wearing women’s clothes, shoes and apparel, and women in general. I’ve always admired women, especially lesbians, they are sensual lovers, touching, caressing and tender. The butchy, masculine types are a complete turnoff… just a man without the phallus. I may have strayed a bit… back to Cynthia Nixon, what was the issue? Cynthia Nixon being a lesbian… so what! I am glad she is happy and making love to a woman is better for women to be sexually active with women. Women are sexier, sensual and it is better for women to date women, I have no objections one way or another. I, personally have a feminine side to me and embrace her wholeheartedly as she expresses herself honestly. People have been judging people and the sadness is the hijacking of Religion to physically inflict pain others is UGLY. I saw a picure where a man in Israel supporting his lesbian daughter is stabbed by some extremist nutcase. I wonder since I am a Crossdresser would be stabbed too by some lunatic for expressing my feminine side? Just a thought I guess, sorry really strayed.
