Take the money and talk, Lewinsky says"You'd be an idiot not to get the money. ... "
[Monica] Lewinsky, who earned a reported $718,800 for an interview with Britain's Channel 4, was joined in hearty agreement by Rebecca Loos, whose alleged affair with metrosexual soccer star David Beckham was front-page fodder for weeks this summer in Britain. Loos received about $150,000 for appearing on Sky News, according to her agent, Max Clifford.
"I don't mean any disrespect to Rebecca [Loos], but my situation was different," she said. ...
Ms Loos' publicist Mr Clifford, another panelist, clashed with Ms Lewinsky during the debate. "Did the money help you get off your knees and move on?" he asked her at one point.
Loos, 26, was paid $300,000 to tell her story to TV network Sky One on top of a reported $960,000 from the newspaper News of the World.
The former PA has also raked in money from other interviews and is now hoping to become a TV personality.
This autumn she is set to appear on The Farm, a new reality TV show from channel Five in which a group of celebrities spend their days milking cows and mucking about.
