A poll of the readership of Film Review has put Jane Fonda's performance as Barbarella at the top of a list of sexiest women in science fiction movies. I don't have anything against Fonda but it took repeated attempts over decades for me to finally make it all the way through Barbarella. My own number one would probably be Martine Beswick from Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde. Given my age and tastes my own list would mostly consist of women from 1950s and 1960s b-movies (aka Psychotronic videos). Not that Milla Jovovich wasn't the best part of The Fifth Element. Princess Leia just baffles me.
