The original version of the animated comedy had one character threaten to emasculate another by saying, "let’s Bobbitt him" - a reference to the infamous 1993 case in which Lorena Bobbitt cut off her husband’s penis with a pair of scissors after a row.

Bobbit was replaced by the name of an Israeli pop star known for his falsetto.

According to army radio, David D'Or, who represented Israel at this year's Eurovision song contest, had his nose put out of joint by a remark in which one of the characters threatens to castrate another, saying: "I'll do a David D'Or on you".
