Rachel Wood maybe titlating but Hollywood seeks to stave off criticism by pretending it it a morality play.
In Pretty Persuasion, Wood’s Kimberly claws and seduces her way forward, exploiting everyone around her to achieve her goals. “She really does a lot of terrible things, and we needed to show the consequences of that,” Wood says. “I wouldn’t put [this type of character] in the world without showing the consequences of their actions.”
